GIC Ecosystem: IFSCA's Global In-House Centre Regulations (effective December 29, 2025, replacing the 2020 framework) allow financial services groups to set up GICs in GIFT IFSC to provide support services to their offshore group entities. Key changes in the updated regulations: the 20% cap on relocated employees has been removed, the definition of "Financial Institution Groups" has been expanded to allow more third-party service providers, and co-delivery models are now permitted. TechFin Framework: The IFSCA FinTech Regulatory Sandbox and the government-designated TechFin Framework allow IT companies to provide integrated technology and financial services from a single GIFT City entity. Infosys' Development Centre in Pragya-2 (inaugurated June 2025) specifically targets BFSI digital transformation, digital banking, trade finance, capital markets, and risk/compliance management. Lowest vacancy in India: JLL India reports SEZ zone vacancy at 1.46% with annual net absorption of 0.5 million sq ft in 2024, figures that reflect structural demand rather than cyclical leasing activity. As global banks expand IFSC operations, their GICs and technology partners follow, creating a compounding demand loop. Phase 2 expansion: Around 30% of GIFT City is currently operational. The remaining 70% represents a planned commercial supply pipeline, new towers and office buildings are expected to come to market through 2027–2030, with Gujarat's GCC Policy 2025–30 providing the demand-side stimulus (250 new GCCs, 50,000 jobs, ₹10,000 crore investment target).
