Infopark Kakkanad is Kerala's largest and most established IT park, a government-promoted, two-phase campus spread across 323 acres in Kakkanad, the Ernakulam district headquarters. Established in 2004 by the Government of Kerala and now home to 582 companies employing approximately 72,000 professionals as of 2025, Infopark accounts for the single largest share of Kerala's IT export revenue. The park operates on a Hub-and-Spoke model, with Infopark Kochi serving as the hub and satellite IT nodes in Thrissur and Cherthala.

75 acres within Infopark Phase 1 are designated as a Special Economic Zone. SEZ units are eligible for tax holidays on export income under applicable Indian tax provisions, duty-free import of capital goods, and single-window regulatory approvals administered through the Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) Authority. Units within the SEZ park include global names like KPMG GDC, Invesco, and Alight.
Infopark campus includes buildings rated for green building compliance. Phase 2 is designed with rainwater harvesting, waste management systems, GIS substations, and eco-friendly construction aligned with modern ESG mandates.
Dedicated 110/11kV and 220kV/33kV/11kV substations ensure uninterrupted power supply with 100% power backup in park buildings. Underground cabling is standard across the campus. VSNL's international gateway adjacent to the park provides direct optical fibre connectivity. Two submarine cable systems (SAFE and SEA-ME-WE 3) have landing points nearby, ensuring global data redundancy.
