Infopark Kakkanad is Kerala's largest and most established IT park, a government-promoted, two-phase campus spread across 323 acres in Kakkanad, the Ernakulam district headquarters. Established in 2004 by the Government of Kerala and now home to 582 companies employing approximately 72,000 professionals as of 2025, Infopark accounts for the single largest share of Kerala's IT export revenue. The park operates on a Hub-and-Spoke model, with Infopark Kochi serving as the hub and satellite IT nodes in Thrissur and Cherthala.

It houses Infopark's own buildings (Thapasya, Vismaya, Athulya) alongside co-developer assets including Lulu Cyber Tower 1, Lulu Cyber Tower 2, Lulu Tech Park (formerly L&T Tech Park), and Carnival Infopark (formerly Leela Infopark). Of the 98.25 acres within Phase 1, 75 acres have been notified as a Special Economic Zone by the Ministry of Commerce, giving SEZ-unit tenants access to tax incentives and duty-free import of capital goods. Phase 2 is the growth frontier. Located by the Kadambra River in Brahmapuram, it is designed with modern infrastructure including a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation for reliable power, green buffers, and integrated sustainability systems. Future plans include an IT corridor and a carbon-neutral township as part of a proposed Phase 3. Two submarine cables, SAFE and SEA-ME-WE 3, have their landing points near the VSNL international communications gateway adjacent to Infopark, giving the campus a distinct advantage in terms of data connectivity. Infopark is directly linked by optical fibre to the VSNL gigabyte router, delivering near-100% uptime on data infrastructure. The Kochi Metro Phase 2 Pink Line (JLN Stadium to Infopark II via Kakkanad, 11.2 km, 11 stations) is under construction with dedicated InfoPark I and InfoPark II stations. Construction began in July 2024 and is being executed by Afcons Infrastructure on a 600-day schedule.
